One Day Workshop

Learn how to carve soapstone using hand tools. This course is for adults only. No previous experience is necessary. Students will be guided by Patrick Imai through the carving process of shaping, sanding and polishing soapstone to produce a Walking Bear. Tools and materials are provided. Students are responsible for personal protection: safety glasses (optional), gloves (optional), closed toe shoes. Dust masks are available. Coffee and tea will be available.
